Many great ideas are created out of frustration, and the EquineTrader app is no exception.

When I want to buy a car, I can go to a number of different free apps and filter my results down to make, model, color, miles, engine type, etc. to find exactly what I want. But for some reason, the process for buying a horse is a nightmare—I either have to call around to every ranch I can think of, or go to a group on Facebook and tediously scroll through thousands of listings one at a time. At best, there are only a couple of websites on which to list horses, but after about five minutes of looking through those, it’s clear that they are an even worse option than the Facebook groups. What’s worse, you actually have to pay to list your horse on these sites! A monthly subscription to list my horse on an ambiguous website—where you can’t even filter by basic categories such as sire, dam, dams sire, color, LTE, or height—doesn’t make any sense. 

This was exactly my experience trying to sell my horse; like many horse owners who aren’t well-known breeders or trainers, I don’t have a consistent flow of customers contacting me to see if I have any prospects for sale. I was at a clear disadvantage. After calling everyone in my small circle of potential buyers list, and dealing with the absolute bombardment of tire kickers from Facebook due to their many regulations, I was stuck standing with my hands in my pockets, wondering how I was going to sell my horse. 

I was frustrated and tired, and kept thinking, “There has to be a better way!” I couldn’t understand how these were the best options we have to buy and sell horses.

Out of this frustration the EquineTrader app was created. EquineTrader is a 100% free-to-use app designed specifically for the buying and selling of horses. You are able to edit, delete, or mark that listing as sold in a matter of seconds.

As I have spoken with owners, trainers, and breeders, it has become clear that this app really simplifies the buying/selling process for everyone. This app will forever change the way we buy and sell horses.
